Opening Reception Ceremony of “To Contain and to Serve”

An Exhibition of Ceramics and Calligraphy

Join two award-winning artists, Arabic-Persian calligrapher Arash Shirinbab and ceramicist Forrest Lesch-Middelton, as they share the results of their unique dialogue, and celebrate the power of art to build community.

Artworks are for sale and the proceeds will help the artists to continue working together and establish a sustainable collaboration.

“To Contain and to Serve” is a collaboration between Arash Shirinbab and Forrest Lesch-Middelton, which resulted in a series of calligraphy-inscribed ceramic tiles, vessels, and installations revolving around the interplay of hospitality, morality and justice in contemporary cultural and media landscapes.
