Personal stories that people who affected by the Muslim ban executive order, shared on Facebook from January 27 to 31, 2017. Pattern included on top and bottom of the platter.
“Today is my turn to tell a story… Yesterday, I dropped off Masoumeh and Sadra (now two months old) at airport for a short trip to Iran. We were excited for our parents to meet Sadra for the first time. Masoumeh’s parents were rejected a visa to visit the US for Sadra’s birthday. Today, I learned an executive action, which could be signed by president Trump any day now, could prevent Masoumeh from returning to the US indefinitely. I have been reading the real life stories of other people every day. But today I suddenly realized it was my turn to tell a story. I hope we realize when it comes to bigotry there are no story of “others”. I hope we realize it before it is your turn.” – A.Sh., January 27 at 12:57am
